BROWZILLA

PERMANENT BROWS                                     DIFFERENT EYEBROW SHAPES

If there is anything women love to be called, it is ‘’beautiful’. Every woman wants to be desired by all, sometimes, a little envious stare from others does a lot to the ego (oh yes guys, we also do have ego) of the female specie. Lots of women go a long way just to attain a very challenging rank up the beauty ladder.  But, as much as we all have every right to look the way we want, a very controversial question pops into the mind. Are you going about your quest to be beautiful the right way? Or are you just following the trend blindly?
One of the trends I am yet to understand is the replacement of your God-given brows with a set of permanently drawn brows. At the risk of sounding judgemental, scraping off your brows is simply atrocious! And there’s no acceptable explanation, in its defence, in the makeup world. It’s like plucking out your set of discoloured teeth so u can get a really white denture.
Not that there are no cool points to score when u get a set of permanent eyebrows, but I think we should weigh the advantages against the downsides.
Permanent eyebrows may seem like a good, time-saving idea especially for women with sparse eyebrows because it eliminates the need to fuss with eyebrow pencils and brushes. They are also preferred by some because of the way that they can define a face. And women with scanty brows may prefer it because permanent makeup can help them to restore their eyebrows by giving the right color and shape, helping to camouflage their condition.
Now, to the not so cool part of the story!
Getting permanent eyebrows is like getting a tattoo......on that delicate skin above your eyes which is definitely not so enjoyable. Yes! The lifespan of the pain is short, but it is still PAIN!!! Did I mention how unnecessary a pain it is?
Also, the eyebrow shape that you choose today may be very much en vogue, but what you will be left with when fashion evolves and the shape is no more the rave of the moment, is a very dowdy and unflattering set of brows. Keep in mind that shape or style of brow you choose may be in fashion today, but not tomorrow.
And finally permanently tattooed brows could mean getting an infection and problems, like scars, when you are finished, especially if you have a history of sensitive skin and scarring. Aha! I really don’t think I have to say more, but this might not be a good choice for you.

Scanty, full, undefined, whatever form your brows come in, they can become your best friend (after diamonds of course). The solution to this is to learn how to groom them or visit a beautician who knows how to do so.
Easy it is to do what’s in vogue, or what’s  ‘cool’, but honestly, unless you intend to plea the ‘’raging hormone syndrome’ in the fashion court, please give it a real long thought before plunging into anything that has to do with permanent makeup.
So instead of thinking about those cute looking set of permanent brows your colleague got during her Las Vegas trip, why don’t you watch out for my next post so you can learn more about which brow shape flatters your facial features and how you can groom them properly ;)
